313A Refrigeration-G2 Gas Fitter Technician

Custom Mechanical provides heating, cooling and environmental management services to a wide customer base from Renfrew to Pembroke, Petawawa, Arnprior and Deep River. We have more than 40 years of field experience.

We are recruiting for a 313A Refrigeration-G2 Gas Fitter Technician. This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week wit a paid on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled, preventative maintenance, installation, diagnosis, and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems, chillers, cooling towers, rooftop units, split systems, boilers, makeup air units, and geothermal equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults in strict compliance with TSSA and CSA safety protocols.
• Represent our company professionally, translating technical recommendations into clear options for our commercial clients.
• Maintain accurate, timely work order documentation and timesheets.

Mandatory trade license (one or more required):

• Active G1 Gas Fitter (preferred) or G2 Gas Fitter willing to upgrade to G1 status
• 313A Red Seal certification, or second or third year registered apprentice
• Partially certified candidates are considered only with a verified minimum of 3-5 years of dedicated commercial refrigeration and G2 gas fitter experience)

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong electrical background, proficiency with schematics/blueprints, and experience with refrigeration piping and break-fix service
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Clear criminal record check
• Local residency (or plans to relocate) within our primary service area

• Competitive base pay ($45.00 – $60.00 per hour), overtime paid after 44 hours, additional compensation during on-call rotation
